Shankhapushpi is generally found in north India and Myanmar. It is a plant that grows widely in rainy season. The plant is about 2 to 3 inches in height. Its leaves are small in size and flowers are white and red in colour and they are round shaped. Whole plant and mainly roots are used for medicinal purposes. Shankhapushpi is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine used to improve memory. It is also used as a anti-stress, antidepressant, memory booster, antioxidant, mind relaxant, antacid, anti hypertensive. It is also useful in epilepsy, vomiting, headache, bad wetting, reducing wrinkles and skin problems.
