Gambhari is a fast-growing deciduous tree and its roots, bark, fruits, leaves, flowers, and stem all are used for medicinal purposes. The roots are one of the ingredients of the Dashamula group of herbs (the group of ten roots). Its fruits have a good nourishing quality, also a brain tonic and also used in anemia, leprosy, and ulcers and the root is anti-inflammatory. Flowers are used in skin and blood diseases.
