Bronchial Asthma is a chronic disease characterized by the inflammation of the airways of lungs. In Ayurveda, this disease is known as Tamaka shvasa. Person suffering from asthma generally found symptoms such as breathlessness, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing.

Bronchial asthma triggers may include: allergens such as food, dust, mould and pollens. Certain drug, exercise, stress, and cold air, flu and pneumonia, perfumes and fragrances. Usually before the attack, the patient gets nasal congestion, even obstruction and sneezing. In Ayurveda, therefore, both for the prevention and cure of this disease, attention to given to stomach, bowels, nose and lungs.

Sitopaladi churan, Agastya Rasayana, pipppali are useful in Bronchial asthma. Chyavana Prasha is very useful in Bronchial asthma.
