Greying of hair is generally considered as a sign of old age. At time, greying start even at a young age. This is considered as a morbidity. In Ayurveda, this is called palitya.
According to Ayurveda excessive passion, anger and psychic strain result in greying of hair. Persons suffering from chronic cold and sinusitis and those who use warm water of washing their hair are more likely to be victims of this condition. Persons with pita type are more to be affected by this ailment.
Bhringraja and Amalaki are very useful tratment for this condition. Mahabhringaraj oil, Amalaki Rasayan, Lauha Rasayan and Bhringarajsava are also useful in graing of hair.
